Those are five screen protectors for the Galaxy Note 5 that should do you right in warding off annoying scuffs and scratches. What Galaxy Note 5 screen protector are you using? If you're on a budget, but want to go the tempered glass route - this is the one to scoop up. The best feature of the Ailun glass protector is its unbeatable price for its level of protection. Its precise fit on the Note 5's display looks as if there's nothing at all protecting against the common scratch. There's an oleophobic coating on the glass itself that repels fingerprints and smudges. I suppose I could go back to my older less protective case, though that would be a bummer, I really like the unicorn beetle case and given what happened I do want it more protected.Last up is the Ailun tempered glass protector for the Galaxy Note 5 that features a thickness of 0.33mm and an amazing clarity after its installed. When the screen is on I can do various tests with apps that check the sensors and they all seem fine, but obviously cannot run the app to test when the screen isn't responding. It has doors over various ports, but the ambient light sensor and proximity detector are handled through cutouts in the front piece which I am not removing. The back case does cover the power and volume buttons but I am pretty sure it isn't pressing them inadvertently. And on occasion it doesn't immediately snap out of it but even then it is no more than 5-10 seconds before it is back. Sometimes if I put the back on the phone again the problem immediately recurs, though not every time. the problem clears up almost immediately and the screen comes back on. However, invariably when this issue occurs, I have now found if I remove the back piece. It is not an easy case to remove, takes a bit of effort. There is a top piece, plastic bumper with screen protector, then a hard plastic grippy case that goes over that on the back. This is a very snug case which includes a screen protector. I had started using a Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro case just before the issue started, to prevent anything else from happening to the screen. In all the guides I have read I haven't heard anyone describe this green flickr, again it isn't every time it does this but usually when I struggle to get it to wake up it will do it a few times.Īny help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Ī weird update. To top it off, I have one scratch on the lower part of the screen running from left to right (the reason I am now using the supcase), this happened months before this issue started so I don't think they are related, but it certainly is a factor in m ability to warranty replace the device as I fear they will not do so with the scratch on the screen. Sometimes when I remove the back case from the phone it snaps out of it, i have a unicorn beetle pro supcase so I am loathe to remove it, but even that is not 100%. I have used an app to test the proximity sensor and it seems fine, always detects when an object is close. I have turned off the setting to keep the screen off in a dark place thinking maybe the proximity sensor was messed up. but ever time it locks it is an adventure. And sometimes it will go several hours with no trouble at all. I tried wiping the cache numerous times with no resolution and finally at wits end I did a factory restore, only to have the problem occur the next time it locked, and ten minutes later I finally got the screen on again. This does not work, I mean it does that but the screen stays off sometimes even in that mode (sometimes not). Searching on the internet I have seen numerous remedies for this t hat say to do the down volume/power button to get it to reboot. It has taken me up to 15 minutes before I get the screen to come back on, then it is fine for awhile. Sometimes while hitting the home button and stuff I see the entire screen flicker on a lime green color, sometimes it does this several times but does not recover. Sometimes plugging in a power chord snaps it out of it, sometimes now. It still responds to texts, phone calls and can even do things like get the camera to open with double clicking the home button, not that I can see it, but while the screen was working i set the flash to on, so if I tap where I know the camera button to be the flash lights up and it takes a picture which I am able to later view.īasically it takes a lot of messing with it to get the screen back before it seemingly at random suddenly lights up and comes back. Sometimes the LED is red, sometimes it is blue, sometimes it is off, and sometimes the back/home buttons light up and sometimes not, but the screen stays black. The screen goes black and nothing shows on screen. I love the phone, apart from problem I am having with it recently. I have had a verizon note 5 for about 5 months. Martial eagles tend to be rare and irregular in west Africa but are known to reside in Senegal, The Gambia and northern Guinea-Bissau, southern Mali and the northern portions of Ivory Coast and Ghana. Although never common, greater population densities do exist in southern Africa and in some parts of east Africa. With a total estimated distribution of about 26,000 km 2 (10,000 sq mi), it has a substantial distribution across Africa, giving it a somewhat broader range than other species there like the crowned eagle ( Stephanoaetus coronatus) and the Verreaux's eagle ( Aquila verreauxii). The martial eagle can be found in most of sub-Saharan Africa, wherever food is abundant and the environment favourable. Currently, the martial eagle is classified with the status of Endangered by the IUCN. Due to its habit of taking livestock and regionally valuable game, local farmers and game wardens frequently seek to eliminate martial eagles, although the effect of eagles on this prey is almost certainly considerably exaggerated. The martial eagle is one of the most persecuted bird species in the world. An inhabitant of wooded belts of otherwise open savanna, this species has shown a precipitous decline in the last few centuries due to a variety of factors. It is one of few eagle species known to hunt primarily from a high soar, by stooping on its quarry. One of the largest and most powerful species of booted eagle, it is a fairly opportunistic predator that varies its prey selection between mammals, birds and reptiles. A species of the booted eagle subfamily ( Aquilinae), it has feathering over its tarsus. It is the only member of the genus Polemaetus. The martial eagle ( Polemaetus bellicosus) is a large eagle native to sub-Saharan Africa. Rogen, Segel and the rest of the cast, however, had to go back on the ride multiple times, leading to some serious barf bag moments and overall an unwell, but now iconic, Knocked Up cast. He rode it once, but according to Rogen, he was having a “full-on panic attack” and refused to ride it for the other takes. Jay was like having a nervous breakdown, like Jason was on oxygen, I was half passed out, half-vomiting, on dramamine all day.Īs it turns out, Jay Baruchel had an actual phobia of roller coasters and had to be seriously talked into going on one with the cast for the scene in the movie. And we’re doing the fucking falling thing. No, he’s not acting, he’s like 'Get me outta this fucking thing.' And then the rest of us had to ride it like fucking 10 more times or some shit like that. Rogen shared what it was really like with these words: Jay Baruchel looks visibly freaked out, and rumor has it the whole cast threw up that day from all the ride riding. There are moments that see the actors, also including Jason Segel and Martin Starr, riding roller coasters at the California theme park. So yeah, it was a dream.Seth Rogen was asked about a scene in Knocked Up where he and the cast go to Knott’s Berry Farm together. There were scenes I was scared of if I was good enough to do them and I got to be around people who I might be able to help mentor myself a tiny little bit. It's got drama, it's got comedy, it's got like a of people I admire. “Every decision is pretty conscious these days and this show, Winning Time, checked off like five different boxes. “If all that stuff is bracketed from your real life, then 10 years go by and you realize, 'Oh my god, I missed all of real life I didn't do much growth.’ Now, I'm really conscious of thinking about every one of these projects as an active part of my life and my growth as a human being and so I pick something where I'm going to learn something about myself, learn something about a subject, work with someone who I think being around that person for 10 weeks will enrich my life. PARK CITY, UT - JANUARY 21: Actor Jason Segel of 'Come Sunday' attends The IMDb Studio and The IMDb. That's fine if you're not working that much, but for about a decade I worked every single day between being on the TV show and writing and making a movie each summer. “I used to think my work was separate from my life and I'll do these jobs and I'll come back to my real life. “That is the only reason I take stuff these days is because I feel like it's going to be new and exciting,” Segel said. Jason also said he only selects projects now that are different than what he’s done previously. Segel compared McKay, Winning Time’s executive producer, to Apatow saying both pick incredibly talented people and allow them to take chances after initially being “hard on the material”. “I also think there was at least for us, a bit of a Monte Cristo’s revenge streak about helping us all out because when they cancelled Freaks and Geeks, I think Judd was like, 'You're wrong, I'm right and I'm going to systematically make each one of these people stars to show you how f***ing dumb you are.'” (Photo by Gregg DeGuire/WireImage) WireImage premiere of "This Is 40" at Grauman's Chinese Theatre on Decemin Hollywood, California. HOLLYWOOD, CA - DECEMBER 12: Director Judd Apatow and actor Jason Segel arrive at the Los Angeles. “I've certainly felt really really lucky and blessed to be a part of that. Serpico (1973) Martin is called 'Serpico' Taxi Driver (1976) Pete jokes 'Did you puke on my shoes Did YOU puke on MY shoes', a reference to the 'Are YOU talkin to ME' sequence. I think that that's part of the lineage and I know Judd was mentored I think it's part of the deal,” Jason said. Breathless (1960) Ben makes a joke about wanting to see this Gatchaman (1972) (TV Series) When we first see Ben he is wearing a Gatchaman T-shirt. “I think there's a rich tradition of mentoring in comedy. Like several actors from the show including Seth Rogen, after its short run, Freaks and Geeks executive producer Judd Apatow had his back later on when Apatow wrote and directed Segel in 2007’s Knocked Up, the actor’s big break, and helped plug him into other projects including Forgetting Sarah Marshall on which Judd was a producer. Segel’s first big break was in the comedy series Freaks and Geeks, which ran on NBC from 1999-2000. Over the past seven years, I've done almost exclusively dramas and so I just try to stay really present as to what's happening in the scene and just to let it ride.” “I think that has come just from doing a lot of improv and doing a lot of comedies. “I try to understand the tone of the project then I try to be really, really present as to what is going on and at that point, it's a little bit like surfing the scene is in charge. “I don’t differentiate between comedy and drama when I'm doing the acting,” Segel said. |
